Stained Concrete

Staining concrete is very common and sometimes a more affordable option than resurfacing.  However, if your concrete has imperfections such as cracks, or other issues, staining does not hide them.  You might want to consider an overlay or resurfacing of your concrete instead.  

What staining concrete can do is give you that highlight you're looking for, or just enough color to make your indoor or outdoor area come together!  There are many different types of stains to choose from and the colors are virtually endless. 

Types of Stains:

Acid:  A deeper and richer look, however, inconsistencies from one concrete area to the next causes different chemical reactions that can change the original color.  If you're open to unique looks and possibly some surprises then this could be the way to go!

Water:  A more consistent look that usually stays true to the original color you choose.  Go safe and beautiful with this option.

Dyes:  Dyes can be used to enhance existing stains.  They can help highlight and improve depth as well.  They can also help change colors, with some limitations, so you can change the way an existing floor may look.  Dyes are unique in a sense that you can create your own color by mixing so you get a more custom look. 

Sealer:  Don't forget your sealer!!!  The key to keeping your floors clean is... you guessed it... Sealer!  We recommend a clear coat, if not several, and there are a few options to choose from depending on a few factors such as indoor or outdoor areas.
